Chronicling the misadventures of our minority-elect President’s alternate reality, alternative facts and the miscreants that comprise his administration so you don’t have to:

Today’s misadventures of our popular vote losing president begins with an explanation of how easy it would be for our demented delinquent to start a nuclear war – as it would be difficult to stop him with no checks in place, America’s most corrupt president is still setting all the wrong precedents, America’s worst-ever president continues talking trash to North Korea while the miscreants in his White House urge the world not to pay attention to it, our national embarrassment loves to bluff but he’s too stupid to think before he speaks, our demented delusionist in the White House is proving to be a major embarrassment to the U.S., Trump’s partisan presidency – catering only to the minority that ‘elected’ him and not the majority and a lot more.

5 Disturbing Revelations Upon Closer Inspection of Trump’s Twitter Feed article from AlterNet. –

In addition to all his other moronic rants, out Twitter tyrant also quotes white supremacists and bots:

“President Donald Trump tweets … a lot. But along with his usual flurry of tweets attacking the media, lamenting fake news, or criticizing practically anyone who disagrees with him, Trump has another Twitter habit — quoting his supposed supporters’ tweets. A look at over a year of Trump’s retweets, quote tweets, and tweets in which he quoted another Twitter handle has left a lot of questions.

Using the Trump Twitter Archive, Media Matters audited the president’s Twitter handle, @RealDonaldTrump, between April 1, 2016, and July 31, 2017, focusing on retweets, quote tweets, and tweets where @RealDonaldTrump quoted another Twitter handle. We used that list to identify unverified accounts that he quoted or retweeted, which we then checked for the original tweet and suspicious or bot-like activity. If an account seemed suspicious (for example, it posted an unrealistic number of tweets or exclusively pro-Trump messages), we examined its tweeting habits during the weekend of the second presidential debate (October 6 to 10, 2016). Finally, if an account seemed like a bot, we reviewed its tweeting habits between August 2015 and January 2016.

Factors used to identify suspicious behavior included the date the handle was created; the number of tweets sent; the general frequency of tweets and use of hashtags and images; the content and frequency of tweets the weekend of the second debate; and what the account tweeted before the October 2015 primary season. Here’s what we found:

1. Trump retweeted and thanked a woman named Nicole Mincey over the weekend of August 5, 2017, as was widely reported by numerous outlets. Mincey was suspected to be a bot, but was later identified by BuzzFeed and others as a real Trump supporter who was using her page to sell merchandise. It was odd for Trump to simply retweet an unknown account because, based on Media Matters’ findings, Trump typically retweets only verified accounts, such as Fox & Friends’ Twitter account or those of his staffers and family members…”

Trump touts online poll showing he’s a ‘better president’ than Obama article from The Hill. –

Still trying to pull some happiness out of a dubious, slanted poll in his land of delusion:

“President Trump early Thursday shared an online poll from earlier this week showing he is a better president than his predecessor.

Trump retweeted a post by ProgressPolls that asked respondents whether Trump or former President Obama is a better president of the U.S.

The poll, which says it surveyed 25,589 respondents, showed 61 percent chose Trump, compared with 39 percent who said Obama was a better president.

ProgressPolls has also asked its followers recently about whether they think the U.S. is heading to war with North Korea and about whether the wage gap for women is real…”

The US’s Endless Wars Are Terrorism for Profit article from BuzzFlash. –

Our Hitler-aspiring wannabe dictator’s calls for war with North Korea, Iran and Syria are simply more calls for corrupt U.S. Corporations to profit at our expense:

“Donald Trump stands cluelessly at the edge of history, exemplifying everything wrong with the past, oh, 10,000 years or so.

The necessity for fundamental change in humanity’s global organization is not only profound, but urgent.

Trump’s latest outburst about North Korea’s nukes — threatening that country “with fire, fury, and frankly power the likes of which the world has never seen before” — creates a comic book Armageddon scenario in the media, except, of course, his power to launch a nuclear war on impulse is real.

What this makes clear to me is that no one should have the authority — the power — to declare any war whatsoever. The fact that this is still possible, so many decades into human awareness of war’s utter insanity, reveals the paradox that civilization remains economically tied to its own destruction…”

The Madman With Nuclear Weapons is Donald Trump, Not Kim Jonu-un article from The Intercept. –

It’s hard to tell which ‘leader’ is more delusional: America’s or North Korea’s:

FOR ONCE, Donald Trump has a point. “We can’t let a madman with nuclear weapons let on the loose like that,” he told Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, according to the transcript from their bizarre phone conversation that was leaked to The Intercept in May.

The madman the U.S. president was referring to, of course, was North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. The madman the rest of us should be worried about, however, is Trump himself, who — lest we forget — has the sole, exclusive and unrestricted power to launch almost 1,000 nuclear warheads in a matter of minutes, should he so wish.

Most nonproliferation experts — as well as former President Jimmy Carter and a number of former Pentagon and State Department officials, both Republican and Democrat — agree that the brutal and murderous Kim, for all his bluster, is not irrational or suicidal, but bent on preserving his regime and preventing a U.S. attack. Nuclear weapons are a defensive, not an offensive, tool for the North Korean leadership — which, as Bill Clinton’s defense secretary William Perry observed on Fox News in April, may be “ruthless and … reckless” but “they are not crazy.”

Got that? Kim is bad, not mad…”

The Partisan Presidency article from U.S. News. –

What it means when a president only caters to his base – the minority that elected him – and not the majority:

“Trump rallies his base against Russia investigation,” declared Politico. “Trump breaks from vacation to vent at media, rally his base,” informed The Boston Globe. “Trump tries to rally his base as approval rating slips,” headlined The Toronto Star.

Yes, the base. Imagine where you could vacation later in the month if you had five bucks for every media mention of that noun. Even as the president’s general support declines, including among independents, there is the apparent strategy of placating the diehards.

By coincidence, I dropped a line to Brandon Rottinghaus, a political scientist at the University of Houston. He’s co-author of the just-published “The Dual Executive: Unilateral Orders in a Separated and Shared Power System.”

He mentions mulling a notion for a paper on how presidents in partisan times seek to rally their, yes, base, in part to court their supporters in Congress. And how there’s no real attempt to reach across the aisle. He calls it “going partisan,” and it does seem rather relevant in the early Days of Trump…”
