The Republican war on wokeness is simply their latest dog whistle to justify their delusional, unworkable ideological agendas and hide their crimes and ineptitude

The Republican Party’s (GOP) wore on wokeness and reality in multiple attempts to obfuscate facts and truth to ‘own the libs,’ and force minority rule on the massive majority that doesn’t support them is yet another reminder of how corrupt and ignorant they have become. Since their lackluster attempts at pushing their former twice-impeached, minority-elect president’s* fraudulent claims of voter fraud keep failing, the GOP is doing their damnedest to create other crises to justify their idiocy and criminal behavior, and, as usual, are failing miserably.
As noted by the Independent Institute, wokeism’s natural logic is to destroy the lives of people of both genders, of all races, and — if need be — those of every age, all to leverage an otherwise unworkable ideological agenda. It is nihilist and destroys everything it touches. The term ‘woke’ is attributed to Black nationalist and civil rights activist Marcus Garvey and began in 1923 when Black people started urging each other to stay woke to the dangers resulting from the Jim Crow style of racism and social injustice and to fight those evils, and it became more popular in music. That phrase gained traction with the Black Lives Matter movement which began growing exponentially due to the growing number of unarmed black people killed by the police.
Notice that in typical fashion, the miscreants leading the GOP keep claiming or blaming whatever their enemy of the day may be on someone or something being ‘woke’ to serve as cover for their racism, homophobia, and misogynistic attempts at suppressing free thought and everything else that makes most people realize how corrupt and stupid they truly are, as a generic way to justify the many depths of their ignorant depravity. Notice too that the GOP loves playing word games and using double-speak to try and justify their ignorance. They’re playing a game they can’t win, and unsurprisingly, their ignorance is quite astounding:
As noted by Jen Psaki, former White House Press Secretary for President Joe Biden, the GOP’s war on woke isn’t a potent campaign. The usual idiots like Trump and Florida governor Ron DeSantis keep complaining about ‘woke’ institutions and the ‘woke mind virus.’ But their problem is that they can’t fool the mass majority because to anyone with half a brain, ‘woke’ means being informed, educated and aware of social injustices,’ not being overly politically correct or moronic like those that keep trying to push it. Consequently, using scary verbiage – lies to deflect from their actions and crimes – to try and goad the public into believing that being ‘woke’ is an issue isn’t working.
AN INFORMED POPULATION IS A THREAT TO THE GOP’S DEMAGOGUERY
In fact, the GOP and their ilk pejoratively use the word ‘woke’ to label anything and everything they don’t like an informed public speaking about since they have become nothing but a cabal of traitors doing everything in their power to protect their treasonous leader and try to stay in power. They can’t stand having an informed citizenry capable of making decisions based on truth or right and wrong instead of investing in their endless lies and deceptions without question, and like everything else they emulate, fighting a war on ‘woke’ is nothing but a distraction to try and hide all the crimes they’re guilty of committing.
An informed, educated population is a threat to the demagoguery and ignorance of GOP politics. Part of that GOP ignorance driving their delusional ‘woke’ crusade includes believing that teaching critical race theory, which is actually only taught at the college level, banning a bunch of books that they deem unfit for kids to learn about- such as books about slavery and a host of other history beneficial to learning from past mistakes this country has made – gutting diversity, equity and inclusion to keep their overt racist, homophobic and misogynistic tendencies hidden, and any other subjects that encourage living in an all-inclusive democracy that includes anyone who’s not white, straight and male.
Some GOP governors, in their incorrigible ineptitude, have been fighting a losing war on woke for sometime, but Florida governor Ron DeSantis has tried staking his presidential aspirations on fighting the GOP’s virulent ‘woke’ war with zero success. In trying to prove himself the Trumpiest of them all, DeSantis has made himself look even more foolish and racist, and is digging himself a hole he won’t be able to slither out of. Sadly for DeSantis – who, like his hero Trump, runs away when confronted – in trying to make himself a hero in the GOP’s eyes is actually only making himself look like a bigger idiot who can’t even define what the definition of ‘woke’ is.
REVAMPING AND REBRANDING THEIR RACISM WON’T HELP THE GOP
Like the rest of the GOP’s racist, homophobic, misogynistic miscreants, DeSantis can’t stand having an informed population because, as mentioned above, it reveals the depths of their ignorance and corruption, and they can’t handle that. But more importantly, the term woke is a fact of life for Black Americans, which explains a lot as to why the GOP is twisting themselves into knots to claim it’s a bad thing. The modern-day GOP only exists for white males, so if you’re female, black, gay, Asian or anything but white, you’re the enemy in their eyes. Instead of using racial slurs and their usual ignorant nicknames – lefties, thugs, socialists, illegals, etc. – the GOP has revamped and rebranded their war on reality and mankind in general by deceptively labeling it as a war on woke.
Sadly for the GOP, no amount of revamping their criminal ignorance and delusional beliefs is going to make a difference. After 7 plus years of dealing with Trump and all his criminal endeavors, his endless lies and profound stupidity and watching our corrupt GOP Congress critters aid and abet him without question, no amount of revamping or rebranding is going to make a difference. The massive majority that doesn’t support Trump or the GOP is fed up and we’re not going to take it anymore. Instead of doing the right thing with Trump, removing him, and holding him accountable, the GOP decided to double down on him instead, making themselves just as guilty as he is.
One would think that after losing the last three elections badly that the GOP would finally rid themselves of the profound metastatic cancer attributable to Trump, but one would be wrong. Toss in a Trumpified, illegitimate SCOTUS who makes egregious decisions based on political beliefs and pseudo-religious ignorance and you have the perfect storm. It’s no surprise that more and more people are acting ‘woke,’ and the GOP has no one to blame for that but themselves. Bogus, repeated lies about the 2020 election being ‘stolen’ from the traitor that – again – lost the popular vote even more bigly than the first time, only add more fuel to the fire of the massive majority that has awoken.
MAINSTREAM MEDIA NEEDS TO QUIT ENABLING THE GOP
Much of the conundrum facing this country is due to the fact that America’s mainstream media simply rolled over and didn’t question or address the criminal regime that was the Trump administration, and in fact, actually gave them free reign to continue their crime spree so they could gain a larger audience and more cash. Instead of telling the world how much of a treasonous, lying piece of fecal matter Trump is and holding him accountable, they decided to roll over and let the rest of us pay the price for it. Actual news, facts and truth were sacrificed so they could propagandize politics regardless of the consequences.
This isn’t the first time America has had to face Nazis and wannabe demagogues charading as GOP politicians and it won’t be the last. It’s an endless cycle that just keeps trying – unsuccessfully so far – to reinvent itself. They fail to understand how targeting queer people, colored people, transgendered people, everyone opposed to climate change, debt-laden students who are being reamed by corrupt financial institutions to pay for their educations, uninsured people that can’t afford to pay for medical care because of corporate fraud, greed and price gouging, trying to screw millions of Americans out of their Social Security and Medicare benefits they’ve spent their entire working lives paying into and anyone who speaks out against the GOP’s corruption, delusions and ignorance would make anyone capable of rationally thinking for themselves ‘woke.’
The GOP’s entire woke agenda is predicated on anything and everything that causes them discomfort (such as reality), and anything that doesn’t conform to the right’s delusional preconceived notions of what they think America is or should be, and it’s time to put an end to it once and for all. It’s extremely difficult taking on corrupt GOP Congress critters and the fraudulent billionaires and corporations that own them, but after the past 7 plus years of Trump and his demented bullshit, it’s worth it so it shouldn’t be surprising that people are fed up and are starting to fight back. To cure this disease that is today’s GOP, it’s going to take the massive majority turning out to vote to remove them and hold them accountable once and for all. Until we do, nothing is going to change.
