A look back at the most recent disastrous week of Trump’s failed presidency as impeachment inches closer to tarnish his corrupt, lackluster legacy.

The two-faced double standards by Donald are quite astounding:
Trump Finally Beats A Clinton: Post Impeachment Twitter Reactions article from Crooks and Liars.
The Don finally got more votes – on being impeached – than Bill Clinton, though it’s a dubious record that will forever tarnish his failed presidency…
Trump Sets The Record For Most Votes For Impeachment article from PoliticusUSA.
More on Donnie’s history making impeachment as he finally won something with the most votes:
“Trump shattered the previous record of 228 votes for impeachment as he piled up the most votes in history in favor of a presidential impeachment.
As Jacob Levy tweeted:
230 is the most votes for an impeachment of a US president in American history.@realDonaldTrump finally has that unprecedented historic landslide he’s been bragging about all these years.
— Jacob T. Levy (@jtlevy) December 19, 2019
Trump finally has a landslide that made history. Donald Trump lost the popular vote, and contrary to his revisionist history rantings, his Electoral College victory was not a landslide…”
Trump’s Letter To Pelosi Highlights His Unfitness For Office article from Rantt.
Taking all his delusional, lie-filled tweets and putting them in a letter highlighting his unfitness for office isn’t going to do the Don any favors:

You will ultimately be Trump’s impeachment juror article from The Week.
Because the Senate will try to cover up Trump’s crimes – because the GOP is just as guilty as he is – it’s important that we all get out and vote the Orange butt plug in the White House out of office.
The three words Trump should never utter: ‘Putin told me’ article from Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.
Donnie – and the rest of his enablers in the GOP and his administration – needs to quit showing their allegiance to their Russian puppet master and repeatedly committing Treason.
Trump Blames Obama For Lightbulb Law That Bush Signed article from PoliticusUSA.
Stupid never stops with Trump as he pushes fabricated Obama Conspiracy Theories repeatedly, routinely revealing just how delusional and ignorant he truly is:
“The full White House has joined Trump’s lightbulb jihad, and they’re blaming Obama for a law that Bush signed in 2007.
The White House tweeted:
If you like your lightbulbs, you can keep your lightbulbs! The Obama Admin tried to limit Americans to buying more-expensive LED bulbs for their homes—but thanks to President @realDonaldTrump, go ahead and decorate your house with whatever lights you want. 💡

Trump must remain in power to stay out of prison: Watch what he does after Senate acquits him article from Alternet.
If Trump loses in 2020 he’ll be facing prison time so the desperation – and illegal activities – will snowball once our Treasonous Senate lets him off scott free.
Newly released materials shed new light on Trump’s Ukraine scheme article from Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.
Trump’s Ukraine scheme appears to be worsening, which won’t bode well for him:
“When Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) reached out to the Republican leadership last week about calling witnesses at Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, the New York Democrat pointed to several individuals who could shed light on the White House’s Ukraine extortion scheme. Two names – former National Security Adviser John Bolton and acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney – generated the most headlines.
But they weren’t the only voices Schumer proposed hearing from. Schumer’s letter also pointed to Michael Duffey, associate director for national security at the Office of Management and Budget, as someone senators really ought to hear from.
Over the weekend, Duffey’s perspective grew quite a bit more important. NBC News reported:
Newly released emails regarding Ukraine defense aid held by the White House show that a request to withhold funds came less than two hours after President Donald Trump’s July phone call with the Ukrainian president that has served as the backbone of the impeachment proceedings against him…”
Trump slams Pelosi and impeachment in a flurry of Christmas tweets article from CNBC.
Donnie vented several Twitter tirades over his impeachment during one of his meltdowns over his Christmas holiday – for which U.S. taxpayers are paying millions of dollars while he further enriches himself at our expense:
…& overwhelming,” but this Scam Impeachment was neither. Also, very unfair with no Due Process, proper representation, or witnesses. Now Pelosi is demanding everything the Republicans weren’t allowed to have in the House. Dems want to run majority Republican Senate. Hypocrites!

Trump struggles when asked about Ukraine messages from Putin article from Rachel Maddow on MSNBC.
Trump is trying to push the lie that Ukraine, not Russia, helped him win the election, but he can’t keep his lies straight and the vast majority knows the truth despite his propaganda and lies.
‘Truly deplorable’: Trump outed the whistleblower — and the internet wants Twitter to ban his account article from Alternet.
As usual our Twitter tyrant broke the law and tweeted the name of the alleged whistleblower – and it could come roaring back to bite his ignorant Orange ass.

Donald Trump’s 5 most appalling scandals of 2019 article from The Raw Story.
The Don has proven repeatedly that he is unfit for office and shouldn’t have been ‘elected’ in the first place, but here are some of his more egregious low lights of his failed presidency from 2019:
“Donald Trump has often been described as the most scandal-ridden U.S. president since Richard Nixon, yet in many respects, he is worse — more vindictive, more corrupt, and even quicker to demonize his enemies. Just when one Trump-related scandal starts to disappear from the headlines, another one emerges. And that was certainly true in 2019. It remains to be seen whether or not Trump will win a second term in 2020, but one thing’s for certain: in 2019, Trump gave the United States many reasons why he shouldn’t be reelected.
Here are some of Trump’s worst scandals of 2019.
1. The Mueller Report
When former Special Counsel Robert Mueller delivered the final report for his Russia investigation, Trump — with the help of Attorney General Bill Barr — insisted that the Mueller Report was a total vindication, and his “no collusion, no obstruction” talking point was echoed endlessly by his allies at Fox News. But Trump mischaracterized the report. Mueller, according to his report, found that the 2016 Trump campaign’s interactions with Russians — although questionable — did not rise to the level of a full-fledged criminal conspiracy. But the operative word is “questionable.” While Mueller made it clear that he didn’t consider Trump a spy, his 2016 campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was hardly squeaky clean and had a long history of doing business with corrupt Russian oligarchs. And in June 2016, Manafort (along with Donald Trump, Jr. and Jared Kushner) was happy to meet with Russian lawyer and Kremlin ally Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in the hope of obtaining dirt on Hillary Clinton…”

If, by some miraculous acts of voter suppression, the Don is ‘elected’ to a second term, all hell could break loose…
Trump runs the country just like his bankrupted businesses: The national debt is skyrocketing while economic growth lags behind article from Alternet.
Trying to run this country the way he runs his failed businesses explains why Trump’s presidency is such a massive failure that is costing this country big time – and making it everything but great again.
Fed Study: Trump Tariffs Backfired, Led to Job Losses and Higher Prices article from Slate.
Despite his lies about the greatness of his moronic trade war with China helping us, Trump is again delusional and failing miserably:
“President Donald Trump said that increasing the use of import tariffs would help protect U.S. manufacturers. Turns out though, his tactics did exactly the opposite, causing job losses while also increasing prices for consumers, according to a study recently published by the Federal Reserve.
Economists Aaron Flaaen and Justin Pierce pointed out that the tariffs imposed since the beginning of 2018 have been “unprecedented.” Yet the goal of protecting the manufacturing sector wasn’t really fulfilled considering that any positive gains from the tariffs were offset by rising costs and retaliatory tariffs. “While the longer-term effects of the tariffs may differ from those that we estimate here, the results indicate that the tariffs, thus far, have not led to increased activity in the U.S. manufacturing sector,” the study said.
The Fed researchers go as far as to suggest that Trump’s entire strategy of tariffs to make gains domestically is a thing of the past due to the way in which global supply chains are interconnected. “We find the impact from the traditional import protection channel is completely offset in the short-run by reduced competitiveness from retaliation and higher costs in downstream industries,” the economists wrote. At the same time, consumers end up paying a lot more for a variety of products.
Now, the WH would say that it takes a while for supply chains to adjust, and manufacturers will recover as they find alternative input sources. Also theoretically, mounting pressure will eventually force the Chinese to knuckle under in a way that will rebalance global trade.

Trump and Giuliani’s conspiracy theories keep getting crazier and crazier article from The Daily Kos.
The growing desperation to save his massively corrupt failure of a presidency is causing Trump and the morons he surrounds himself with to look even more foolish.
‘Trump is powerless’: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is doing to the president what no one else has in the 3 years since he took office article from Business Insider.
Pelosi – having impeached the president* – has made him powerless and there isn’t a damn thing he can do about it, and he’s not handling it well.
A Complete Analysis Of Trump’s 153rd Unpresidented Week As POTUS article from Rantt.
Yet another week and yet more malfeasance from our corrupt president* as his impeachment keeps eating him alive.
Here’s how Nancy Pelosi can psychologically wreck Trump by stalling impeachment for 36 days article from The Raw Story.
Making Donnie give his State of the Union address while still facing impeachment in the Senate could prove quite entertaining:
“Speaker Nancy Pelosi could drive President Donald Trump off the deep end by refusing to transmit the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump for another 36 days, former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum explained on Monday.
Frum was interviewed by MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell on “The Last Word” about the standoff between Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on whether there will be a fair Senate trial of Trump.
Frum laid out a theory that he cited to Paul Rosenzweig of the R Street Institute, about how crucial the next 36 days will be.
I think I may have figured out why @SpeakerPelosi is holding the articles of impeachment (or at least part of the reason): She wants to make sure that when POTUS gives the SOTU on Feb 4, he is still under impeachment. /1

Trump spent 1 of every 5 days in 2019 at a golf club article from CNN.
The Donald has a bad aversion to actually working but has no problem profiting from his golf excursions by making U.S. taxpayers pay for it – and a lot of the profits go directly into his pockets.
Here’s the big question: How does Trump personally benefit from war with Iran? article from Salon.
He doesn’t, but Trump is too stupid to figure that out and his latest idiocy may end up costing him worse than he realizes:
Trump on Nov. 16, 2011:
— JM Rieger (@RiegerReport) January 3, 2020
“Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He's weak and he's ineffective. So the only way he figures that he's going to get reelected — and as sure as you're sitting there — is to start a war with Iran.” pic.twitter.com/usZFLiHnBw
Trump won’t get a boost by wagging the dog — and that’s not just because of partisanship article from The Raw Story.
The Don’s entire corrupt, failed presidency is already too far gone so his wag the dog moment – committing more war crimes and possibly starting another major war in the Middle East that won’t be won – isn’t going to help his impeachment or his campaign for re-election.
Trump’s perilous delusions about Tehran article from The Week.
Donnie has no legal idea why he killed Iran’s top military leader or what he’s going to do when Iran strikes back and it could cost him bigly:
“The United States brazenly assassinated Iran’s most senior security and intelligence official, Qassem Soleimani, in Baghdad on Thursday, in a dangerous and wildly illegal act of escalation with no discernible underlying policy goal.
For Iran hawks, Soleimani had become a boogeyman, a shadowy figure at whose feet we could place responsibility for the past 30 years of unmitigated American policy disaster in the Persian Gulf. Yet Soleimani, though an important operator, was not at all the cause of Iranian foreign policy behavior or America’s regional struggles. His assassination proves that President Trump is under the sway of a very dangerous delusion: that because he personally does not want a full-on shooting war with Tehran, he can engage in any insane provocation he likes without triggering one.
Sooner or later, he is going to run out of luck.
The murder of Soleimani is only the most recent manifestation of the Trump administration’s dangerous policy of escalation with Iran. The president has consistently brought his very worst instincts to the Persian Gulf and to the Iranian file in particular. He sees Iranian aggression and perfidy behind everything, and reads almost all policy decisions through the lens of a paranoid and implacable hostility to Tehran. He has obviously spent too much time alone in rooms with smooth-talking Saudi majesties and potentates eager to have the United States sign on to another long era of bottom-lining Gulf Arab sovereignty with American lives and treasure. Trump wants to bully the Iranians while simultaneously making it clear that he is terrified of an actual shooting war with Tehran…”
‘We Do Not Seek War,’ Says President Who Just Started A War article from Medium.
Unsurprisingly, Trump’s lies used to justify his latest War Crime in Iraq, are unraveling and eventually he’ll be defending his latest moronic act of malfeasance when it all blows up in his face because the lies and propaganda aren’t going to work this time:
How Donald Trump’s perverse brand of BS took over American politics article from Alternet.
The 14+ lies per day told by Donnie coupled with the equally corrupt GOP spewing his lies and idiocy without question is doing severe damage to the U.S., but it’s hurting them more and it’s going to take time to reverse once his profoundly corrupt and ignorant ass is removed or voted out of office…
