Chronicling the misadventures of our minority-elect President’s alternate reality, alternative facts and the miscreants that comprise his administration so you don’t have to:

The end of his failed presidency being in sight begins today’s misadventures of our malignant minority-elect president* as the threat of impeachment remains unlikely but with a little more time he will bury himself, each disastrous week of our lackluster lame duck illegitimate president’s tenure proves more entertaining, the lies and deceptions from our treasonous president* keep coming and there appears to be no end in sight, Donnie’s Russia troubles are wreaking havoc on his already cratering presidency, Trump has been committing more war crimes in Syria, why Donald’s ‘incredible deal’ with China over his Trade war appears to be yet another of his delusional fabrications, Obama’s stock market is now doing better than Trump’s – which will really piss him off, the fact that Donald is more loyal to dictators than the U.S. is becoming problematic and much more.

A Complete Analysis Of Trump’s 97th Unpresidented Week As POTUS article from Rantt Media. –

Each week of our lackluster lame duck president’s failed illegitimate tenure in the White House keeps getting more entertaining as his imminent demise creeps closer and closer:

“First, they said the Trump campaign had no contacts with the Russian government. Then, they said there was no collusion. Then, they said collusion isn’t a crime.

Now, as the walls are closing in, President Trump and his loyal sycophants have resorted to falsely painting Special Counsel Robert Mueller as a “rogue prosecutor” so their base won’t believe any of the damning developments.

This was the most significant week in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation thus far. “Individual 1,” the President of the United States, has now officially been named as a subject of Mueller’s probe. This strikes down conservatives’ primary talking point, claiming the guilty pleas have not pertained to collusion. This week’s developments had everything to do with collusion, or in more legal terms, Conspiracy Against The United States. We are now beginning to see an even clearer story of the 2016 Russian government-assisted version of Watergate.

All five of Trump associates who have been charged with crimes have now pleaded guilty and cooperated with Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Trump’s former fixer Michael Cohen, who had already pleaded guilty to the Southern District of New York and led to Trump becoming an unindicted conspirator in two campaign finance felonies, is lucky number five…”

Analysis of special counsel Mueller’s court filings suggests ‘a supreme confidence that he has the goods’ on the Trump campaign article from Alternet. –

Trump’s melt downs are coming more frequently because Mueller is thoroughly documenting his crimes and it’s freaking him out:

“A new analysis of special counsel Robert Mueller’s court filings by Axios reporter Garrett Graff suggests that President Donald Trump is right to be worried about what the probe will uncover.

In particular, he writes that Mueller is releasing “bread crumbs” of evidence that create a narrative showing a correlation between actions by the Trump campaign and actions of Russian intelligence agents.

The biggest example of this, he says, is an “oddly specific” reference to Russian hackers targeting “email accounts at a domain hosted by a third-party provider and used by [Hillary] Clinton’s personal office” for the first time in 2016 within hours of Trump publicly encouraging Russia to release Clinton’s hacked emails.

He also notes that Mueller linked former Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen’s decision to call off the Trump Tower Moscow project in June 2016 with news that broke around the same time of Russians hacking the Democratic National Committee…”

Trump’s mounting troubles

By Gabe Lezra and Conor Shaw

The report that the Trump organization might have offered Russian President Vladimir Putin a $50 million penthouse apartment in a Moscow development that was under negotiation adds to President Donald Trump’s mounting legal troubles and represents a potential national security vulnerability.

The president was already facing questions of whether he obstructed justice, whether his campaign colluded with Russia in the 2016 election, and whether he violated campaign-finance laws by arranging payments to two women who claimed they had an affair with him…”

‘Take Out Their Families’: Trump Fulfills Criminal Campaign Promise as Hundreds Die in Latest US-Led Syria Strikes article from Counter Punch. –

It seems our war criminal president* is at it again:

“While campaigning for president in late 2015, Donald Trump promised a bloody escalation of the US-led war against Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, vowing to “bomb the shit out of” IS militants and “take out their families.” Targeting terrorists’ wives, children and other relatives is a war crime under international law, but Trump doubled down on his promise and since taking office has presided over a dramatic increase in civilian deaths in six of the seven countries subjected to America’s open-ended war against terrorism. This increase has been most acute in Iraq and, most recently, in Syria, where hundreds of innocent civilians have died in US-led air strikes in recent months.

Although US and coalition forces are not deliberately targeting civilians, many — if not most — of those killed in the latest strikes have been women and children. According to local and international media and human rights monitor groups, at least 271 and possibly more than twice as many civilians have been killed in nearly 900 US-confirmed air strikes in Deir Ezzor province in October and November. The vast majority of these raids have been carried out by American warplanes; British, French, Dutch and other coalition members have also participated.

The UK-based monitor group Airwars and local and international media outlets report many victims of these recent bombings have been wives, children and other relatives of IS fighters. The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported 32 IS family members, including 12 women and 13 children, died in a November 11 strike on Al Shaafa, while an attack on Al Kashma that same day killed at least 35 civilians, mostly women and children, according to Step News Agency and other outlets. Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) and local media reported that a November 15 attack on Al Boubardan killed 18 members of a single family, including 14 children and three women.

SOHR, Amnesty International and other monitor groups and media reported 36 relatives of IS fighters, including 17 children and 12 women, died in November 17 strikes east of Hajin. Free Deir Ezzor Radio later reported the civilian death toll from the attack had risen to 53. That same day, Airwars and local media said at least 12 and as many as 24 civilians were killed in another strike on Hajin…”

Trump’s Legacy as President Will Be His Mishandling of Natural Disasters article from Care2. –

Trump’s legacy will be defined by his profound corruption and ignorance in addition to many other issues:

“What will President Trump’s enduring legacy be years, possibly decades, after he’s left office? Many Americans might point to his draconian handling of immigration. Others might cite the Russia investigation, or perhaps his nominations to the U.S. Supreme Court.

While we’re less than halfway into Trump’s presidential term, there’s already something few can deny: His handling — or, rather, mishandling — of natural disasters has been deeply costly, in terms of human lives, property damage and ecosystem health.

Clearly, no one would blame the president for the disasters themselves, but Trump has taken direct actions in the aftermath of each incident that can easily be described as negligent — if not downright counterproductive.

The most recent example is President Trump’s response to the California wildfires, the worst in the state’s history. Officials estimate that at least 85 people died in the Camp and Woolsey Fires, which are now fortunately contained. Rescue workers are in the process of surveying the damage and looking for victims of the blaze, as there are still a number of individuals unaccounted for…”

Be Afraid, Mr. Trump. Robert Mueller Is Teaching Us Patience. article from Truthout. –

There are many reasons Mueller is taking his time, which is going to drive Trump nuts:

“After he retires from public service and the practice of law, Robert Mueller should teach graduate courses on the fine art of patience. Over the 18 months I’ve spent on the Mueller investigation beat, the man has become my own personal meditation master. I hear the voices cry, “He’s got the goods!” right alongside competing cries of, “It’s all a sham!” and I smile in muted mirth because nobody knows nothing, on purpose. Mueller has no leaks. The Tao that can be named is not the Tao.

Remember Ken Starr’s investigation into Bill Clinton and Whitewater/Monica Lewinsky/Vincent Foster/The Lindbergh Baby? That office had leaks in the same way the Bellagio in Vegas has fountains. Not so with this Russia investigation. The most well-connected pundits in Washington only know what Mueller wants them to know, and his favorite way of dispersing information is by way of public court filings.

Last week was a big one on that score. Thanks to a series of new confessions from Trump bagman Michael Cohen, which arrived in tandem with the appropriate court documents from Mueller, we learned that the president’s oft-repeated denials of having business dealings in Russia were yet another nest of lies.

In fact, Trump wanted to build another one of his gaudy towers, this time in Moscow, with Vladimir Putin ensconced in the penthouse free of charge. These dealings were ongoing during the presidential campaign even as Trump waved it all off as “fake news” fiction. It wasn’t. Trump is so visibly deep in the mire that even the code name given to him in the filings – “Individual 1” – was a humorous aside, a lawyer’s joke no one in the White House was laughing about…”

Trump Is More Loyal to Dictators Than to the U.S. article from Slate. –

Donald’s loyalty to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman over the murder of U.S. journalist Jamal Khashoggi is making him look extremely corrupt and foolish:

“When the CIA catches dictators doing bad things, the dictators often pay lobbyists to lie about what’s been discovered. Now the dictators can save their money because President Donald Trump is doing their hatchet work against the CIA for free. Trump has dismissed the agency’s findings about Russian interference in the 2016 election. He has brushed off U.S. intelligence showing that North Korea is building new missiles. And he’s lying about the CIA’s assessment of a murder by the Saudi government.

On Oct. 2, a Saudi hit squad assassinated and dismembered Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and U.S. resident, inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Evidence of the Saudi regime’s guilt piled up, and the regime’s story kept changing, but Trump refused to blame or punish the de facto Saudi leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Trump kept looking “for ways to avoid pinning the blame” on MBS, even after he was “shown evidence of the prince’s involvement,” according to aides who spoke to the Washington Post. The president made clear that his reluctance was about money: He didn’t want American companies to lose lucrative Saudi contracts.

But Trump had a problem: The CIA was learning the truth, and people connected to the intelligence community were leaking it. On Nov. 12, the New York Times reported that CIA Director Gina Haspel had heard audio of a phone call in which the leader of the hit squad instructed Saud al-Qahtani, a key aide to MBS, to “tell your boss” that the job was done. In an attempt to squelch the story, national security adviser John Bolton denied that the audio implicated MBS. “That’s not the conclusion that I think the people who heard it have come to,” Bolton told reporters. On Nov. 15, the administration omitted MBS from a list of Saudi officials targeted by sanctions over the killing.

So the leakers revealed more. On Nov. 16, the Post, citing officials “familiar” with the CIA’s findings, said the agency had concluded that MBS had “ordered the assassination.” The Post reported that the CIA’s assessment was based on several pieces of evidence. One was the “tell your boss” call. Another was an intercepted call, reportedly at the direction of MBS, in which the crown prince’s brother, the Saudi ambassador to the U.S., had told Khashoggi to go to the consulate, where the hit squad met him. The CIA also had passport records and other evidence linking MBS to members of the squad. And based on the operation’s complexity and MBS’ history of micromanagement, the CIA concluded that there was no way it could have happened without his knowledge…”
