Opinion: After The Malignancy of Donald Trump It’s Up To Us To #MAGA article from PoliticusUSA. –

Our dimwitted dip shit’s presidency has been a massive failure:

“A little over eight months after the inauguration of Donald Trump, the fears of 66,000,000 people have been realized. The President of the United States is not befitting of his position, as he has been proven to be an instrument of historical incompetence and divisiveness. America has been thrust into civil unrest and political upheaval, that hasn’t been witnessed in decades. The only saving grace for the future advancement of the world’s most celebrated democracy is us…We The People.

Our current administration has been the embodiment of malfeasance and corruption. The Republican Party represents a tired and outdated model of governing. The malicious disregard for the rule of law and offensive approach to critical social issues has left our country battered and bruised. It cannot be sensibly argued that we, in fact, have no leadership and our way of life, is a rudderless ship in the middle of the ocean taking on water. We The People have to power to plug the holes and lead America safely to shore.

We must focus our collective energy and resources to ensure that the Grand Old Party is a thing of the past, struck down by a blow of concentrated cohesiveness, swung by a coalition of common sense, compassion, and intelligence. Our citizens can no longer be hoodwinked by the pomp and circumstance of an empty-headed failed television star, thirsty for power for the sake of power itself.

Putting aside the recent controversy surrounding kneeling during the national anthem, it should be mentioned that sacrifices were made for the right to vote. The right to vote in this country cost countless lives, and somehow it has been overlooked on the spectrum of our most vital human rights…”

A Complete Breakdown Of Donald Trump’s 35th Unpresidented Week As POTUS article from Rantt. –

A recap of our Loser-in-Chief’s most recent week of massive failures and corruption:

“Nuclear tensions with North Korea. A healthcare system with an uncertain future. 3.4 million Americans in hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico without power. News of 21 state voter systems targeted by hacks. And the President of the United States is spending his time attacking…black NFL and NBA players?

Donald Trump is a simpleton. He is a simple man with a hateful, short-sighted worldview. He reveals more of his idiocy with every incoherent word and disgraces the office of the presidency with every bigoted breath. There is no way to sugarcoat this pervasive truth and it would be irresponsible to beat around it.

The media is the lens through which people perceive reality. We have a duty to hold that lens responsibly and give the people a clear view of the world we live in. The harsh truth is, this is not normal and we in the media must hold the line, take a stand, and continue to hold Donald Trump to account. And we must call President Trump’s comments about how players “should not be allowed” to kneel during the anthem what it is: A wannabe authoritarian infringement on Americans’ constitutional rights.

Every week, Donald Trump reveals more of his limited brain capacity and hateful beliefs. His startling lack of intelligence is what drives him to call North Korean Despot Kim Jong-un “Rocket Man” on the world stage while threatening to completely destroy a country of 25 million people. And his hate is what drives him to call neo-Nazis “very fine people” days after a white supremacist terrorist attack but angrily call a black athlete who chooses to exercise their First Amendment rights a “son of a bitch.”…”

‘Nobody’s in Control’ article from The Atlantic. –

The minority populist movement that put our piece of shit president in office is causing the Republican Party to implode:

“Seven years after Republicans first seized on the unruly rise of the Tea Party as a vehicle for winning elections, GOP leaders are confronting a stark reality: They have lost all control and comprehension of the populist movement they were supposed to be marshaling—and they may soon be facing a mutiny.

The volatile dynamic inside the Republican Party was thrown into sharp relief last week when Roy Moore—a fringe relic of the fading religious right—emerged victorious in Alabama’s GOP Senate primary, defeating the establishment incumbent President Trump had endorsed.

With the dust still settling, many Washington Republicans are mystified—and alarmed—by the fact that not even Donald “Drain the Swamp” Trump had enough populist cred to swing a primary race to his candidate in deep-red Alabama. While the GOP’s class of professional strategists are generally ambivalent at best when it comes to the president, they had taken a certain comfort in believing that he was fully in command of his base. The assumption allowed them to draw conclusions about what his voters wanted, how to cater to them—and how to avoid drawing their wrath.

But Alabama fully punctured the illusion that Trump was in control. For all the race’s idiosyncrasies—Trump’s endorsement of the more establishment-friendly candidate was uncharacteristic for him, and his support often seemed conflicted—it seemed to reveal that there was a limit to his supporters’ loyalty…”

The Growing Irrelevance of President Trump article from Common Dreams. –

Our dimwitted dip shit is a dangerous conman and showman but – as the past 8+ months have shown – he is utterly and completely irrelevant:

“Announcement: Donald Trump is no longer the president of the United States.

Oh sure, he has the title and he has the bully pulpit—from which he’s bullying everyone from NBA players to people protesting white supremacists to DACA kids.

But he’s not actively governing the United States. That work is happening elsewhere—in Congress, the courts, the Fed, the career civil service, lobbyists, and in the states. Or it’s not happening at all.

It’s not just that Trump lost the epic battle to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Trump never understood the Affordable Care Act to begin with, and played no part in developing Republican alternatives…”

Trump’s duplicitous brand of narcissism and gross incompetence, while proving to be a massive embarrassment to the U.S., shows how low this country has fallen.

Away from his teleprompter, Trump causes more trouble for himself article from Rachel Maddow on MSNBC. –

Trump gets in trouble when he’s allowed to speak for himself because he never thinks before speaking:

“Yesterday morning, Donald Trump addressed the nation on the mass shooting in Las Vegas, and managed to stick to the carefully written script on his teleprompter. There were no asides, no tangents, no tantrums, and none of the staples of this president’s approach to communicating with the public.

Many observers exhaled deeply when it was over, relieved that Trump didn’t use mass murder to say something offensive. Some in the media were a bit too effusive in their praise of the remarks, probably because they were pleasantly surprised the president resisted his usual impulses.

The trouble, of course, was that Trump’s speech didn’t sound anything like Trump. The Atlantic’s David Frum, a former George W. Bush speechwriter, explained, “Speeches are watched as well as heard, and the viewer saw a president who wished he were somewhere else because he had been compelled to pretend something so radically false to his own nature.”

This morning Trump briefly spoke to reporters as he departed the White House for a trip to Puerto Rico, and without the benefit of his teleprompter, the president was free to say what he was thinking. Reflecting on the Las Vegas slayings and the first-responders at the scene, Trump said today, “Look, we have a tragedy. What happened is, in many ways, a miracle.”…”

Donald Trump as the Slave Master of the Black Athlete Plantation article from CounterPunch. –

More on the racist rants of our Twitter tyrant against the NFL and the NBA:

“Sports can reveal so much about where we are in American racial progress: Jackie Robinson, the Mexico City Olympics, Derek Jeter dating white women. White sports fans have made themselves the referees for what black athletes are allowed to do to move the racial equity ball down the field. And they’ll be more than happy to shut down a spectacular rush. And that’s the end of my sports metaphors.

Enough has been said about Trump’s weird obsession with “ungrateful” NBA players and “ungrateful” NFL players. Except for white people who are in deep denial, anyone that has followed Donald Trump from his Central Park 5 ad, through his relentless Obama birtherism, to his comments about the “fine people” in Charlottesville, knows the man is a racist. He’s the modern kind of racist who says, “I’m the least racist person on earth. I have black friends!”

The way to frame the “I’m not a racist, but…” racism that is flowing down from the White House and across the Facebook feeds of white America is to think historically. They want to make America great again. And for “again,” let’s choose 1857. This was a time when one in four white families in Virginia owned African slaves. And, like the NFL, the best team owners made the most money. There were over a hundred plantation owners who owned over a hundred slaves each. The slave labor on those plantations generated millions of dollars in revenue for the white elites, and it wasn’t just cotton sales.

First, let’s get this out of the way. The NFL kneeling protests have nothing to do with the flag or the anthem. They are about the persistent problem of racism in America, especially with regard to policing. Trump and his army of racist overseer trolls can try to spin it any way they want, but it’s about racism. (Trump lamented that white NASCAR drivers don’t bother us with this nonsense.) They can act all butt-hurt about how much the flag means to them, but it’s not about the flag. It’s a common racist trick to make any unwanted racial protest an “attack on America.” Martin Luther King, Jr. and the civil rights activists of the 1960s were routinely called “communists” who wanted to “destroy” America. Trump’s pathetic attempt to make this about the flag only reinforces the fact that this is about racism. “It’s not what the black people say it is. It’s what I say it is.” And I could spend thousands of words talking about how we disrespect the flag on a daily basis. Ever seen a Kid Rock concert?…”
