Shuttering the State Department War Crimes Office to make it easier for our illegitimate, popular vote losing president to continue committing War Crimes in Syria begins today’s misadventures, our national embarrassment still consistently lying since being ‘elected,’ America’s worst-ever president getting ugly after his fraudulent healthcare tax giveaway fails – as he threatens to let Obamacare fail to destroy millions of Americans, the increasing hypocrisy of Trump’s ‘Made in America’ week, our Loser-in-Chief wonders why legislators don’t listen to him, it’s still everyone else’s fault but his own when his draconian policies fail, how our Con Artist-in-Chief went from populist to corporate shill less than 6 months into his failing presidency and more.

Trump Complains About Getting Fact-Checked, Lies Minutes Later article from Talking Points Memo. –

After complaining about being caught in all his lies, our national embarrassment lies again:

“President Donald Trump said Monday that he doesn’t like “Pinocchios,” referring to the Washington Post’s metric for pointing out politicians’ lies in fact-checking columns. Minutes later, he delivered a whopper of an untruth.

“We’ve signed more bills — and I’m talking about through the legislature — than any President ever,” Trump said at an event the White House called the “Made in America product showcase.” “For a while Harry Truman had us, and now I think we have everybody, Mike. I better say ‘think,’ otherwise they’ll give me a Pinocchio, and I don’t like Pinocchios.”

Glenn Kessler, the Washington Post’s Fact Checker columnist, implied there was an easy fix for Trump’s aversion to fact-checkers (tell the truth).

Yet, several minutes later, Trump cited a number close to one that was repeatedly knocked down by multiple fact checks, including from the Washington Post…”

Trump’s ‘America First’ promise leads to Homeland Security adding 15,000 seasonal visas article from Think Progress. –

Hiring foreigners also happens during our dimwitted dip shit’s ‘Made in America’ week:

“Just as President Donald Trump kicks off his “Made in America” theme week based on his promise to “hire American, buy American,” the federal government announced plans to rapidly increase the number of temporary foreign workers in the United States this year.

The federal government will immediately add 15,000 seasonal visas to fill temporary H-2B nonagricultural jobs for the remainder of the 2017 fiscal year, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agency officials told reporters on a press call Monday, beyond the annual cap of 66,000 visas allotted for this current fiscal year.

DHS officials said that this increase is a “one-time exemption” this year, explaining that some U.S. businesses are facing a dire labor shortage that could lead their companies to financial ruin.

Employers use H-2B visas to hire foreign workers to work in certain nonagricultural jobs when domestic workers can’t be found. For the government to grant these visas, employers must prove that they need immigrant workers after exhausting every option to recruit domestic workers. Specific U.S. Department of Labor requirements include posting advertisements on two separate days to hire domestically and soliciting the return of U.S. workers employed during the previous year…”

6 months in, Trump’s presidency is teetering on the brink of disaster article from CNN. –

Again, because the career Con Artist ‘elected’ by a minority has no business being in the White House:

“(CNN)The collapse of health care reform in the Senate on Monday night is a fitting coda to President Donald Trump’s first six months in office, a tenure that has lurched from controversy to controversy and now appears to be on the verge of tilting directly into the political abyss.

1. Consider the following facts:Trump’s job approval rating at the 6-month mark is lower than eight of the past nine presidents’. He’s tied with Gerald Ford, who had taken over from Richard Nixon, who had fled Washington in the wake of the Watergate scandal and whom Ford, very controversially, pardoned.

2. Despite his braggadocio, Trump has a pittance of legislative accomplishments to tout. Health care appears to be dead in the water — and even Trump can’t seem to decide what the right next step should be. There is currently zero new funding for Trump’s much-touted border wall. Tax reform still in its infant stage, with few details added to the first, basic proposal. Infrastructure proposals are in limbo. There is no announced strategy on the raising of the debt ceiling. And on and on and on.

3. A special counsel was appointed and is investigating Russia’s attempts to meddle in the 2016 election and the possibility that members of the Trump campaign colluded with the Russians to aid his campaign. That investigation has triggered a major lawyering-up of all the major players — including several Trump family members — and a series of ever-changing stories about who said what and when…”

THE ADVICE TRAP article from The Intercept. –

Trump wants to help financial advisers rip off small investors by gutting financial protections designed to prevent that.

It’s (Still) Never Trump’s Fault article from The Atlantic. –

Our profoundly ignorant President is incapable of facing reality:

“It’s a typically hot and sticky July in Washington, but in some ways it feels just like late March all over again. A health-care bill backed by President Trump has collapsed in dramatic fashion, and Trump knows just who to blame: anyone but himself.

The latest failures, first of a Senate Republican bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act and then the expected defeat of a subsequent, last-ditch effort to simply repeal the law and worry about a replacement later on, offer a vivid picture of Trump’s leadership style, his strategic and tactical missteps, and why he can’t seem to push any of his priorities through in Washington, despite holding majorities in both the House and Senate.

For one thing, Trump has been almost entirely absent from the process with this bill. He’s recently been traveling—first to Poland and the G20, and then another trip to France—and dealing with the increasingly toxic Russia situation, including the revelation that his son met with a Russian lawyer in hopes of getting dirt on Hillary Clinton. He’s largely been disengaged from the process of twisting arms and changing hearts on the health bill.

“I am sitting in the Oval Office with a pen in hand, waiting for our senators to give it to me,” he told Pat Robertson in an interview last week. But that was part of the problem. While he sat passively, Senate Republicans were fighting over what to include in the bill. Trump’s involvement might never have made a difference; perhaps the distance between what Rand Paul wanted and what Susan Collins was always too big to bridge. But the president has never demonstrated any serious understanding of health-care policy, and by surrendering the chance to lay out parameters, he allowed the GOP caucus to spin off in several conflicting directions…”

Trump can’t ‘let’ Obamacare fail – but he can help destroy it article from Yahoo! News. –

If Trump tries to destroy Obamacare he will pay a heavy price:

“The Republican efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA) have failed for now, and in response, President Donald Trump tweeted that the Republican-held legislature should let “Obamacare fail,” though he promised to not give up on repeal.

“Obamacare isn’t failing. It’s failed. Done,” said Trump Tuesday afternoon. “We’ll let Obamacare fail. We’re not going to own it. I’m not going to own it.”

But the ACA, known as Obamacare, does not appear to be failing, experts say, and Trump is in control of its fate. Currently, the individual insurance markets have stabilized, according to analysis by the Kaiser Family Foundation and S&P. Insurers’ financial performance has been very solid, showing improved loss-ratios, which is the standard by which health insurance is measured. Gross margin is also up, according to the data.

The real failure of the ACA currently

The ACA’s biggest problem is the fact that 38 counties across the United States are at risk of having no insurers participating in the exchanges. Most of these are sparsely populated, but having no options for people looking to buy individual plans is a failure…”
