For those who may have missed it: Senator Bernie Sanders’ supporters suspicions that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) colluded with Hillary Clinton to make her — the corrupt establishment favorite — the official Democratic Presidential nominee were confirmed recently when WikiLeaks, the whistleblower site, published nearly 20,000 emails and documents attributed to a hack by Guccifer 2.0, though the Clinton campaign dubiously attributed it to Russia, that revealed their suspicions were correct.
WikiLeaks released 19,252 emails and 8,034 attachments covering the period from January last year until May 25 this year from seven key figures of the DNC: Communications Director Luis Miranda (10770 emails), National Finance Director Jordon Kaplan (3797 emails), Finance Chief of Staff Scott Comer (3095 emails), Finance Director of Data & Strategic Initiatives Daniel Parrish (1472 emails), Finance Director Allen Zachary (1611 emails), Senior Advisor Andrew Wright (938 emails) and Northern California Finance Director Robert (Erik) Stowe (751 emails).
Some of the emails show the DNC as using “us” language when referring to Clinton supporters while using “them” language when referring to Sanders supporters. All the leaked documents reveal that the DNC secretly worked behind the scenes to help ensure Clinton took the primary and not Sanders.
Even Debbie Wasserman Schultz, DNC chairwoman appointed by Hillary Clinton — who also used a private email for DNC business — was involved in the chicanery despite lying from the beginning. Wasserman Schultz wrote in one email that Sanders would never be president despite denying that any manipulations by the DNC were happening. In fact it appears that Clinton’s DNC chairwoman was involved in more than one email incident aimed at eviscerating Bernie Sanders.
WikiLeaks tweeted that a few of the emails regarding fabricating an anti-Bernie narrative focusing on Sanders religious beliefs and trying to use them against him. Sanders wasn’t mentioned by name but it is obvious who the DNC was referring to. DNC CFO Brad Marshall authored an email in which he suggested someone should ask Sanders about his religious beliefs, noting that his Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist. It appears that Marshall believed the DNC could exploit a Jewish candidate in favor of Clinton who is a loyal, unquestioning supporter of a corrupt Israeli government. Of course, one look at the leaked documents from the Clinton Foundation reveals much of what you need to know as to how corrupt the establishment candidate really is.
The leaked emails further reveal that the DNC kept in close contact with websites on articles related to the Democratic Party and dealing with issues from the system being called “rigged,” many Democrats opposing Hillary Clinton and Sanders supporters causing a lack of unity. Sanders and many of his supporters had previously stated that the DNC was trying to sabotage his campaign and it appears they were correct. The emails also reveal that the DNC was laundering charity money to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
It’s obvious from the leaked emails that the DNC – and their Wall Street backers – were terrified that Clinton would lose to Sanders and they couldn’t tolerate that so the DNC had to break the rules, and some laws, to ensure a Clinton victory.
Revelation of the DNC’s chicanery in awarding Clinton the nomination — aside from offering yet more evidence that our two-party political system in incorrigibly corrupt and broken — could also explain why Bernie Sanders supporters in several states, including Arizona, California, Nevada, New York, Oregon and a couple of other states were purposely disenfranchised during the Presidential primary. More emails were recently released by Judicial Watch that implicate Clinton’s chicanery while at the U.S. Department of State which reveal more depths of corruption. You don’t have fair elections when voters are disenfranchised by their own political party and both candidates actually belong behind bars.
