The FISA legislation fight continues running rampant — Senator Obama angered several of his supporters announcing he would support an unconstitutional bill that destroys the fourth amendment…a bill to replace the diabolical Protect America Act that did nothing but destroy Democracy in the name of Bush induced terrorism…and the opposition has made national news — more reasons behind Bush wanting to invade Iraq continues coming to light, more soldiers are being stuck in Iraq and Afghanistan for more extended tours of duty as suicide rates among soldiers continue to soar, and 9/11 debunkers continue making themselves look like idiots. That and more can be found below.
Mr. Obama and his campaign continue raising questions as to how much change this country will actually see, since his opinions keep changing. Congress — in all its neverending delusional, corrupted, profitable, fear-based faith — is preparing to once again pass controversial legislation offering immunity for telecoms who participated in Bush’s illegal wiretapping while covering Bush’s butt for all of his self-described powers that have already proven illegal more than once. Democratic Leadership in the House of Representatives continues caving into one of the most pathetic, corrupt and unpopular President’s in the history of this country, constantly doing everything…albeit with unconstitutional and illegal ‘legislation’…in their powers to keep Bush’s illegal activites covered up while trying to remove rights and freedoms of Democracy from those they’re elected to serve. If you want to make sure your Congress person knows how you feel about the illegal, unconstitutional FISA legislation, information can be found from FireDogLake.
Bush continues ignoring the real data on Iran — as Israel continues pushing for war with Iran — preferring instead to toss it aside while looking for any excuse to go to war with Iran. Iran is rich in oil. One Ex-CIA Agent was reportedly told five times to either falsify information regarding WMD in the near East, or not to file his reports at all. Bombing Iran would be a disaster since our troops in the Middle East would be affected drastically, and could potentially be annihilated.
For years, financial friends and supporters of President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney have received wealth and power beyond their dreams at the cost of financial ruin, freedom and rights to Americans, also paid for in the blood of our dead and wounded soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as citizens of both those countries. In all the wrong ways Bush has shown his support of the troops since beginning his illegal occupation of Iraq, few are quite as pathetic as trying to blame his torture policies on our troops. Then again, Bush’s complete tenure as a never-elected president has been one major disaster after another. Bush and his cronies have done some serious damage these past seven plus years.
Lack of Support For the Troops
As noted by James Carroll in The Boston Globe, this country — especially the never-elected president who is responsible for sending countless troops to their deaths to fight his illegal war over oil — lies when saying they support the troops. America has grievously and knowingly failed those wearing the uniform. Nothing demonstrates that more than the suicides of soldiers. Suicide is always a tragedy. What are those soldiers trying to tell us? It demands our attention.
Army figures show the rate of suicide among soldiers nearly doubled between 2001 and 2006, growing higher in 2007. Suicide ranked third as the cause of death among members of the National Guard. One in five veterans who have been deployed in Iraq or Afghanistan — more than 300,000 — suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder or depression.
While avoiding the actualities of its war in Iraq and Afghanistan, partially due to the lack of media coverage, America hasn’t paid attention to what is happening to those fighting its wars. Repeated deployments to war zones combined with little support when returning home is causing more damage to our soldiers.
The American military cares nothing for the individuals who comprise it. The American military only cares about the mission those individuals, in formation, can accomplish. The use of Depleted Uranium in the munitions used by the American military leadership is further evidence of that. Iraqis and all the coalition soldiers fighting over there are exposed to unhealthy doses of radiation resulting in cancer and other life-threatening medical maladies. American troops are shamefully exploited by the military with disabling redeployments. The Pentagon has also gone to unprecedented effort to hide the human cost of war, showing more deception.
Premeditated Occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan
It has been established for some time that the Bush administration lied and falsified propaganda to deliberately mislead the American public and Congress into war with Iraq. Bush and his administration also heartily practiced fear-mongering and various other terroristic tactics against Americans and Congress. Too many have paid for those lies with their lives. From day one, the intent by the Bush administration was to invade Iraq for its oil and to ‘protect’ Israel. Invading Iraq for its oil has finally prevailed. Bush is about to add to his wealth as well.
At least seven months before the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the Bush administration was reportedly deeply involved in planning and mobilizing for the invasion and occupation of both Iraq and Afghanistan. None of planning was remotely related to Osama bin Laden or terrorism. That is undisputable, fundamental truth that has been fully documented. Bush twisted the ‘facts’ around to tie Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaida to the attacks on that fateful day.
When Bush took office in 2001, 29 members of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) — with a now defunct web site for obvious reasons — including Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby, Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz joined Bush at the highest levels of his administration. The plan to invade Iraq for its oil began shortly after Bush was appointed to the presidency. Bush’s complete ‘war’ strategy in Iraq continues being one massive failure.
Incursions into Afghanistan and Iraq, in direct violation of the charter of the United Nations — international crimes — were premeditated, designed to gain control of oil in the Middle East. After the attacks of 9/11, the fraudulent label known as the ‘war on terror’ was concocted to justify the premeditated violence. As noted by Counter Punch, there is a huge disconnect between the incursions into Afghanistan and Iraq and the terrorist attacks of 9/11, but the Bush administration knowingly and dishonestly joined them into the fraudulent conflation known as the ‘war on terror.’
Today Afghanistan and Iraq are occupied countries administered by puppet governments, dotted with permanent military bases to secure the oil. This was done purposely. The war and occupation are going so well that the U.S. needs to spy on the Iraqi army. Iran is next on Bush’s list.
CIA and The Iran-Contra Scandal
Consortium News reported on a lost chapter of the Iran-Contra scandal describing how Ronald Reagan’s administration brought CIA tactics to bear domestically to reshape the way Americans perceived the world.
Republicans on the congressional Iran-Contra investigation ‘lost’ the chapter when waging a rear-guard fight trading elimination of the key findings for the votes of three GOP senators to give the report the appearance of bipartisanship. The chapter’s conclusions and its detailed account of how the ‘perception management’ operation worked ended up purposely cut out of the report.
The Reagan administration built a domestic covert propaganda program managed by a CIA propaganda and disinformation specialist working out of the National Security Council. Congress has had a bad habit of hiding the truth from Americans for some time — which is an excellent reason that outside investigations should always be held instead. Politicians continually protect other politicians, regardless of how corrupt they are. The CIA has conducted domestic terrorist operations against Americans for quite some time and has been corrupt for years. It’s painfully obvious that the government cannot investigate itself correctly and that the federal government has a bad habit of deceiving the American public.
Increasing Questions About 9/11
Glenn Beck, one of the certifiable neocon nitwits from CNN, who does comedy routines on the side — although all you need to do is watch his show for a laugh, and it’s free — had some guests on his show trying to debunk 9/11 ‘truthers.’ Those who continue trying to debunk 9/11 truthers usually end up having stories so full of holes they look more like swiss cheese. Ever notice how those who protest the most are usually the guiltiest? Beck makes himself look like a raving idiot.
Adding fuel to the fire is the actions of the most corrupt presidential administration in U.S. history. Planning to attack a foreign country because of their oil being aided by a well-timed attack making it convenient to implement your illegal actions while destroying Democracy in the process doesn’t help when ‘debunking’ the ‘truthers.’ It’s also known that Bush began his illegal wiretapping of Americans in February of 2001 — if not before — seven months before the September attacks. Bush put off an investigation into the attacks of 9/11 for over a year.
There is a difference between truthers and conspiracy theorists. Instead of trying to answer unanswered questions about the attacks of 9/11, a lot of debunkers turn to lying and slandering those who question the official story. The 9/11 commission questioned the official story too, and they’re the ones who wrote it. Waiting for over a year to open an investigation while providing limited material to work with and refusing to testify as President Bush did doesn’t say much for the ‘truth’ of 9/11 either. Having the remnants of the demolished buildings hauled off overseas to be melted down only succeeds in covering information and destroying it. It’s no wonder so many ‘truthers’ doubt the official story.
The more you look at the attacks, learn about the Israeli Lobby and follow the trail, the more it appears that Israeli’s may have had a hand in committing the attacks. A lot of the neocons that comprise the Bush administration, especially the ‘leadership‘ of the Bush administration, have dual citizenship, both Israeli and American. The American government has covered up other attacks from Israel against the U.S. in the past. In some ways, it appears that this may be the case again. Regardless of whether or not high-ranking members of the Bush administration were involved or not, the Bush administration had foreknowledge of the attacks on 9/11 and did nothing to prevent it. There are still too many unanswered questions about that day.
The FBI has known for years who was responsible for the Anthrax attacks that happened right after / in conjuction with the 9/11 attacks. The White House was giving out anthrax vaccine to its employees before the letters were sent out to their victims. Dr. Phillip Zack, a former Jewish employee of a U.S. bio-weapons lab, was caught on tape entering the anthrax storage area at Fort Detrick without authorization when he was no longer employed there. Dr. Zack was never arrested which some attribute to his being Jewish.
The same twisted principles apply to the Republican Neoconistic idiots that use them to play games with ‘dual-loyalty’ and ‘anti-semitism.’ The childishness and stupidity of it all would be enough to embarrass anyone with a conscience, but as history has shown, politicians owned by large corporations don’t appear to have one.
Brutal Effects of The Bush Regime
Times have changed since 232 years ago when traitors were hung — and traitors are exactly what has destroyed America and a few other countries over the past seven plus years. As noted by the San Francisco Chronicle, the brutal effects of the Bush regime will be felt for generations. Bush has a terrible aversion for the truth and the law.
President George Bush, and those in his administration along with many in Congress need to be treated as the criminals they are and held accountable for their actions. America is biding its time until the end of the Bush regime, waiting for their chance to treat Bush like the criminal he is since the corrupted Congressional leadership refuses to impeach him. As a result, a lot of the ‘leadership’ in Congress as well as several Congress persons may face some unexpected surprises when they go to run for re-election. America is sick and tired of it and America is doing something about it.
